The Fund Development Manager oversees the planning, administration, and management of all grant activities within the organization under the director of the Executive Director. This includes identifying funding opportunities, writing and submitting grant proposals, managing grant budgets, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
The Fund Development Manager will work closely with program directors, finance teams, and external partners to support the organization's mission through effective fundraising strategies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, social sciences, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in grant writing, management, or fundraising, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
Proven track record of successful grant applications and securing funding from government and private sources.
Experience with budget preparation and financial management for grants.
bilingual & bi-literate in Spanish and English preferred but not required
valid CA driver’s license & reliable transportation to and from work sites
work authorization as a W-2 employee (see I9 requirements)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly.
Knowledge of federal, state, and private grant regulations and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and grant management software (e.g., Foundant, Grant Lifecycle Management).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with various departments.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think strategically.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Work generally takes place within an office environment. Air quality is good, with typically adequate lighting at desks/workstations. Noise conditions are moderate and limited to self and others on telephone calls and general interactions with coworkers and the public. Â
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and push up to 50 pounds (on wheels).
Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in person and speak clearly to communicate information to patients and staff.
Must be able to read memos, computer screens, personnel forms, and clinical and administrative documents.
Must have high manual dexterity.
Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, twist/turn
Ability to work at a desk for extended periods.
Occasional travel for meetings, conferences, or site visits as required.
